Creating requisitions from location requirements

Use this procedure to create requisitions from location requirements. You can replenish an inventory location or a report group that uses the Fixed Order Point (FOP) method. Location requirement, known as demand, is calculated based on the set fixed order point and reorder quantity.

Fixed Order Point is the stock level or the threshold when location replenishment is triggered. For more information about FOP, see the Inventory Control User Guide.

  1. Select Location Replenishment Report.
  2. Select Location or Report Group.
  3. Specify this information:
    Major Inventory Class
    Select the major class to limit processing to one class. To process all inventory classes, this field must be blank.
    Minor Inventory Class
    Select the minor class to limit processing to one class. If this field is blank, then all inventory classes are processed.
    Update Only
    Specify whether to create unreleased documents. Unreleased requisitions can be released in Requisitions.
    GL Post Date
    Select the date to post the replenishment to the global ledger.
    Estimated Delivery Date
    Select the estimated delivery date for the location.
    Include Inactive Items
    Specify whether to include inactive items in the item master.
    Print Exception Report
    Specify how to handle printing exceptions in the report.
    Sort Option
    Specify whether to sort the report items by vendor or bin.
  4. In the Report Distribution section, select a distribution list and export type for Inventory Location Replenishment Report .
  5. Click Submit.
