Pivot analysis reports

You can view financial data that is stored in the general ledger total OLAP cube in various configurable definitions. GL pivot analysis uses existing cube view functionality to deliver predefined views. These delivered cube views can be configured by your organization to meet your specific requirements. Configurations change the look and feel of menus, pages, and various user interface objects and actions that are associated with a business class.

This table shows the features that are available for all pivot analysis reports:

Feature Description
Structures
  • Reporting basis selection is available
  • Structures can be changed for alternate hierarchies
  • Use Reset to set the structures back the reporting basis structures
  • Only used for setting reporting basis and structure selections
  • By design,the calendar structure cannot be changed
Filter
  • Data filter is available
  • Uses structures that are assigned on the structures selection
  • Use Reset to clear all filters
  • Calendar period does nothing in the filter
  • Calendar period is filtered using the period override selector
Period Filter
  • Click the current period to open period override selector
Dimensions
  • Use to change the dimension that is used in the tree
  • Add or remove dimensions
  • Show a maximum of 3 dimension levels to set levels that are initially displayed.
  • The default for suppress zeros is true
Pivot views
  • Predefined combinations of the dimension tree
  • Use the pivot by menu to change views
Period views
  • Several period combinations are available, for example, last 2 months and last 2 years
Totals pane This pane contains General Ledger Total records that are associated with the amount of the highlighted row in the cube view. Content is available when you click the Load Totals button. Reports with period views have a feature to select a period. Period views identify the period to use for the returned General Ledger Total records.

Period over Period Analysis Shows current period and YTD period over previous period and YTD previous period for functional amount measure
Variance Analysis Current period to previous period with variance and current year to previous year with variance
