Creating organization codes

Organization codes are used to define a relationship between a Global Ledger accounting entity and accounting unit. In interfaced transactions, the organization code is used to assign the interfaced transactions to the appropriate Global Ledger accounting entities and accounting units.

  1. Select Processing > Transaction Interface > Organization Codes.
    Note: If you do not have Accounting Unit as a dimension, then the value is not included in your organization code.
  2. Click Create.
  3. Specify this information:
    Code
    Specify the name of the organization code.
    Entity
    Select the accounting entity that is represented by the organization code.
    Accounting Unit
    If you have an accounting unit dimension, then select the posting accounting unit to associate with the accounting entity.
  4. Click Save.
