Lease purging

When you purge leases, the lease invoice, payment schedules, and the lease number of the asset that was linked to the lease are deleted.

You can purge leases that are not terminated. This list contains some of the circumstances in which unterminated and unclosed leases can be terminated:

• Leases with an unreleased status.
• Leases with an error or one that was created erroneously and has a released status and the lease is not processed. Invoices can be created for the lease, but not processed.

If you start processing payments for a lease, then process any pending payments and retire the lease before you purge it.
