Creating demand for time-phased order points
The Distribution Requirements Report is meant for items with a reorder policy set to: Time Phased Order Point. Reorder policy is set in Item Locations. With time-phased reordering, item reorder requirements and available stock are tracked over time.
- Sign in as Inventory Manager, and select Inventory Post And Close > Distribution Requirements Report.

Run the program to print a report of distribution requirements. Specify
this information:
- Company
- Select a company number.
- Location
- Select an inventory location. The report only includes items that are assigned to this location.
- Report Group
- Select a report group. The report only includes locations that are assigned to this report group.
- Requester
- Select a requester.
- Buyer
- Select a buyer to only include items that are assigned to this buyer.
- Inventory Major Class
- Select a major inventory class. The report only includes items that are assigned to this major inventory class.
- Update
- Decide whether to create an unreleased document for all planned orders within the Firm Order Period Cutoff parameter.
- Check Activity
- Decide whether to limit this report to items whose supply or demand has changed since the report was last run.
- Calendar
- Specify the name of the calendar used in production scheduling.
- Current Beginning Date
- Select the beginning period date.
- Planned Periods
- Determine the number of periods to calculate planned orders (up to 52).
- Firm Order Period Cutoff
- If you selected Yes in the Update field, type the period cutoff date. Planned orders will not be created after this date.
- Printing Period Cutoff
- Select a print cutoff date, so that items that create a planned order within this period cutoff are printed.
- Distribution Requirements Report
- Select a group to receive the report.
- Click OK.
- Use Planned Orders to view and update planned orders generated by this report.
