Replenishing by requisition

You can create a requisition to replenish inventory locations. When you use this method, the order goes through the approval process in Requisitions before it goes to Purchasing. Use this procedure to replenish inventory locations by creating a requisition.

Before you can create a replenishment document, you must create information about the item's replenishment source in the item location file. You must also set up requesters in Requisitions. For more information, see the Requisition Self Service User Guide.

  1. Select Inventory Reorder > Replenishment by Requisition
In the Main section, specify this information:
    Company
    Select the company number.
    Location
Select a location. If a location is selected, then this system reports or replenishes only the depleted items that are assigned to the Reorder Document.

    Major Inventory Class
Select a major inventory class. If this field is specified, then it only includes items that are assigned to this class in Item Master.

    Select an update option:
    • Select Yes to create requisitions.
    • Select No to preview what happens if requisitions are created. This option does not create requisitions.

  4. Click Submit.
  5. After you submit the replenishment report, you must run Purchase Order Interface in Purchasing. For information about purchase order processing, see the Purchasing User Guide.
