Importing combined files

  1. Sign in to Administration Console and click the FTP Setup tab to ensure that configuration parameters are set for the FTP directory.
Click the Configuration Parameters tab to view all configuration parameters for the Administration Console.

See the Infor Landmark Administration Console Configuration and User Guide.

  2. Sign in as Process Server Administrator and set up file channel configuration. Set up file receivers for all import files with combined data in the file.
For more information see the Process Automation Administration Guide.
  3. After the import source files are created, sign in to Administration Console and select Database > Import to Workfile. Specify this information:
    Workfile Business Class
Specify the business class for the workfile import.
    Work File Name
Specify a name for the work file.
    Subdirectory
Specify an optional subdirectory to place the output workfile in.
    Command Output Filename
Specify a file name for the workfile command output.
Do Not Save Errors to File
Select this check box to prevent the system from saving errors to a separate file.
    Import Error Filename
Specify a error file name if you did not select the Do Not Save Errors to File check box.
    Source Format
Select CSV to save the file in CSV format.
    Import Filename
Specify a file name for the import source file.
    Validate Only
Select this check box to prevent the system from performing any updates. A report is created in the FTP directory.

The list of errors will not be exhaustive and may include items that might only be a problem on a specific workfile. The list does not cover all the errors that might be encountered when the actual import is attempted. For example, the validate option does not check for duplicates.

Field Separator, Field Delimiter, Decimal Separator
Specify the characters the file will use for field separators, field delimiters, and decimal separators.
Note: If your string data contains embedded commas (in names and descriptions, for example), use a delimiter other than a comma when producing the CSV file.
    Date Time Format
Select the date and time format the workfile will use.
    Locale
Select the location the workfile will be created for.
    Encoding Type
Select the character encoding type the workfile will use.
  4. Click OK.
  5. Run the appropriate interface program for the solution the workfile was created for to complete the import process.
