Importing separate files
- Sign in as Administration Console.

Select Other > FTP Setup to ensure that configuration parameters are set for the FTP
directory.
Select System Configuration Parameters to view all configuration parameters for the Administration Console.

Sign in as Process Server Administrator and set up file channel
configuration. Set up file receivers for all import files.

After the import source files are created, sign in to
Administration Console and select Database > Import to Database. Specify this information
- Business Class
- Specify the business class for the database import.
- Subdirectory
- Specify an optional subdirectory to place the output database in.
- Command Output Filename
- Specify a file name for the database command output.
- Skip Error File
- Select this check box to prevent the system from saving errors to a separate file.
- Error Filename
- Specify a error file name if you did not select the Do Not Save Errors to File check box.
- Source File Format
- Select CSV to save the file in CSV format.
- Import Filename
- Specify a file name for the import source file.
- Validate Only
- Select this check box to prevent the system
from performing any updates. A report is created in the FTP
directory.
The list of errors will not be exhaustive and may include items that might only be a problem on a specific database. The list does not cover all the errors that might be encountered when the actual import is attempted. For example, the validate option does not check for duplicates.
- Field Separator, Field Delimiter, Decimal Separator
- Specify the characters the file will use
for field separators, field delimiters, and decimal separators.
Note: If your string data contains embedded commas (in names and descriptions, for example), use a delimiter other than a comma when producing the CSV file.
- Date Time Format
- Select the date and time format the database will use.
- Locale
- Select the location for which the database will be created.
- Encoding Type
- Select the character encoding type that will be used by the database.

- After each Import to Database process is completed for each business class, run the appropriate interface program for the solution the database was created for to complete the import process.
