Setting up Billing IDM templates

Use this procedure to download sample templates, fact sheets, and XML files to set up IDM templates.
  1. Download Sample IDM Templates, Fact Sheets, and XML files.
    Sample IDM template links are provided to download the template, the fact sheet documents, and the XML files.
    1. Sign in as Billing Administrator and select Document Template Setup > Billing Sample Document Templates.
    2. For each sample IDM template, links are provided to download the template, the fact sheet documents, and the XML files.
  2. Create IDM Templates.
    1. You can use the sample templates as baseline to create your own IDM templates.
      Note: For details, see Contextual Applications User Guide.
    2. IDM templates must be saved in .docx format.
    3. Refer to the fact sheet for field mapping information of the fields that you can add to your template.
  3. Set up IDM Templates. Use these steps to set up and upload the created IDM templates that can be assigned as the default company templates.
    1. Sign in as Billing Administrator and select Document Template Setup > IDM Templates.
    2. Click Create and locate the IDM template to use. You can attach the downloaded sample templates or your own templates.
    3. You can generate output documents in .pdf or .docx format.
    4. When successfully attached, you can assign the template as the default for the company. The template is also saved in IDM.
  4. Set up your Billing company to use IDM templates.
    1. Sign in as Billing Administrator and select Billing Company.
    2. Open the billing company. On the Invoicing Options tab, in the Document Setting section, select the Use IDM Template check box.
    3. Select the Document Templates tab, and select the default Billing Invoice and Invoice Register templates.
      Both the templates and the generated documents are stored in IDM.
