Creating Receivables companies

Click Create.
-
Specify this information:
- Company
- Specify a company number. The company must already be defined in
Global Ledger.
- Name
- Specify a company name.

On the Main tab, specify this information:
- Customer Group
- Specify a customer group. A customer group can be associated
with multiple companies to enable intercompany cash application and
reporting.
- Multiple Currency Processing
- Select this check box if multiple currency transactions are
used by the company.
- Currency Rate Override
- Select whether currency exchange rates can be overridden when
non-base currency transactions are created.
- Phone Country Code
- Specify the phone country code, phone number, and extension of
the phone number for the company. The phone number is free-format to
accommodate a variety of phone number formats.
- Fax Country Code
- Specify the fax country code, fax number, and extension of the
fax number for the company. The fax number is free-format to
accommodate a variety of fax number formats.

In the Aging Options section, specify this information:
- Default Aging Method
- Select an aging method for the company. If this field is blank,
then the aging method for the customer group is the default
value.
- Age Credits
- Select a credit memo aging method for the company. If this field
is blank, then the age credits option for the customer group is the
default value.
- Age Payments
- Select a payment aging method for the company. If this field is
blank, then the age payments option for the customer group is the
default value.
- Age Disputes
- Select whether disputes are aged using the Default Aging
Method. If this field is blank, then the age
disputes option for the customer group is the default
value.
- Aging Periods
- Specify the aging periods that are used when aging across
companies. Specify the periods in consecutive and ascending order.
If these fields are blank, then 30, 60, 90, and 120 are the default
values. If the Additional Aging
Periods check box is selected, then three additional
aging periods are available for a total of seven aging
periods.
- Current Days
- Specify the number of days that separate the current and future
aging periods. Current and future aging periods contain transactions
that are not past due for due date aging or past transaction date
for transaction date aging.
- Additional Aging Periods
- Select this check box to show three additional Aging Periods
fields and one additional Future Days field.
- Future Days
- If the Additional Aging Periods check box is selected,
then specify the number of future days. This value creates a
secondary Future
Aging field.
- Transaction Sequence
- Select the transaction sequence that is used on aging reports.
If this field is blank, then the transaction sequence for the
customer group is used.
- Display Date
- Select the date that is used to specify what open obligation
data is displayed on aging reports. This option is used only for
obligations and is not related to the aging method. If this field is
blank, then the display date option for the customer group is the
default value.

In the Document Template Option section, select the Use IDM Template check box
the IDM template is used when generating notices such as basic dunning letters,
advanced dunning letters, receivable statements, and payment request notices. If
this check box is cleared, then the documents are created through a built-in

On the Address tab, specify this information:
- Country
- Specify the country code for this company.
- Type
- Select whether the address is a post office box, a street
address, a military address, or an unidentified type.
- Latitude
- Specify the latitude of the location.
- Longitude
- Specify the longitude of the location.
- Altitude
- Specify the altitude of the location.
- Credit Agency Reporting Number
- Specify the credit agency reporting number for the
company.
- Employer Identification
Number
- Specify the employer identification number
of the company.

On the Entry tab, in the Payment Entry
Options section, specify this information:
- Automatic Batch Numbering
- Select this check box if automatic batch numbering is used for
payment batch entry.
- Last Batch
- If Automatic
Batch Numbering is selected, then specify the last
payment batch number assigned. When a new payment batch is added,
the batch number is incremented by one. If this field is blank, then
the batch number begins with one.
- Balance Batch Control Totals
- Select this check box if the transaction batch total must equal
the control total before a transaction batch can be
released.
- Operator ID Required
- Select this check box if an operator code is required during
payment batch entry.
- Edit Remittance
- Select this check box if remittance records are edited against
open transactions.
- Allow Remittance Changes
- Select this check box if payment remittance data can be
changed after a payment is released.
- Allow Zero Payments
- Select this check box if a zero amount payment is allowed. Zero amount payments
can be applied to invoices, debit memos, and credit memos that net
to a zero amount.
- Edit Deposit Date
- Select this check box if the deposit date is edited against the
general ledger date range specified in Global Ledger. Use System Control to
establish the desired date range.

On the Entry tab, in the Transaction
Entry Options section, specify this information:
- Automatic Batch Numbering
- Select this check box if automatic batch
numbering is used for manual invoice entry.
- Last Batch
- If Automatic
Batch Numbering is selected, then specify the last
invoice batch number assigned. When a new invoice batch is added,
the batch number is incremented by one. If this field is blank, then
the batch number begins with one.
- Balance Batch Control Totals
- Select this check box if the transaction batch total must equal
the control total before a transaction batch can be
released.
- Operator ID Required
- Select this check box if an operator code
is required during memo entry or invoice entry.
- Currency Override
- Select this check box if the default customer currency code can
be overridden when a transaction is created.
- Create Historical Distributions For Interface
- Select this check box if historical AR code-based distribution
records are created by interface transactions. Consider checking
this box if you are not interfacing invoice distributions to be
posted to the Global Ledger. These distribution
records are primarily used for the self balancing
report.
- Create Summarized Historical Distributions For
Interface
- If Create Historical
Distributions For Interface is selected, then select
this check box if distribution records are created in summary. If
this field is cleared, then distribution records are created in
detail.

On the Process tab, in the Rules
section, specify this information:
- Customer Delete Months
- Specify the number of months that must elapse after the last
customer activity date before a customer is automatically deleted by
Customer
Purge.
- Verify Post Date
- Select this check box if the general ledger dates assigned to
transactions are validated against the date range specified in
Global Ledger.
- Hold Code
- Specify a hold code for the company used
in Analyst Review Detail.
Order processing systems can use this hold code to decide whether to
process orders for a particular customer.
- Risk Code
- Specify the default value to use as a risk code for customers
added for this company. This field is user defined and can be used
for customer reporting purposes.
- Due Date Change Allowed
- Select this check box if the due date in
the receivable invoice details can be changed.
- History Update Periods
- Specify the number of period closings until the status of a
fully applied payment or transaction is updated to historical. This
field is used by Transaction Status Update.
For example, if the history period is one, a payment or transaction
in a fully applied status for one period close moves to a closed
status when you run Transaction Status Update.
Likewise, a payment or transaction in a closed status for one period
close moves to a historical status when you run
Transaction Status Update.
- Currency Display
- Select whether transaction amounts are displayed in the base
currency or the transaction currency for select
reports.
- Summarize Transaction Lines
- Select this check box if invoice transaction lines are
summarized. If this check box is cleared, then invoice translation
lines are displayed in detail.
- Allow Entry Of Rebates From Contracts
- Select this check box if contract rebate information can be
entered for non-AR payments.
- National Account Trans
Option
- Select whether national account transaction records are created
or deleted in National Account
maintenance form or with the National
Account Trans Update mass update program. If the
company has national accounts with a high number of open national
account relationship transactions, then it is recommended for
performance considerations that this options is set to
Transactions Updated With Mass Update
Logic.
- Periods Per Year
- Select whether the periods per year are Twelve or Thirteen when customer transactions
are stored and reported by period.
- Period Offset
- If Periods Per Year
is Twelve, then optionally specify a period
offset value. The offset value is a signed or unsigned number that
is added or subtracted from a transaction date to determine a period
number in transactional reporting.

On the Process tab, in the Cash Ledger
Codes section, specify this information:
- Deposit Payment Code
- Select the default value to use for deposits to Cash Management for this company.
- RTM Payment Code
- Select the default value to use for Return To Maker (RTM)
payments to Cash Management for this
company.
- Adjustment Payment Code
- Select the default value to use for adjustments to Cash Management for this company.

On the Process tab, in the Last
Numbers section, specify this information:
- Summary Batch
- Specify the last summary batch number. If this field is blank, then the batch
number begins with one.
- RTM
- Specify the last Return To Maker (RTM) batch number. If this
field is blank, then the batch number begins with one.
- Chargeback
- Specify the last chargeback batch number. If this field is
blank, then the batch number begins with one.
- Reassign
- Specify the last reassignment number of the last reassigned
open obligation. If this field is blank, then the transaction number
begins with one.
- Credit Chargeback Prefix
- Specify the prefix used when creating a chargeback involves reversing
applications records.
- Number
- Specify the credit chargeback number.

On the Process tab, in the Global
section, specify this information:
- Claims and Liabilities Report
- Select this check box to include a claims and liabilities report. This report
contains the sum of all open payables and receivables invoices.
- Report Threshold Amount
- If the Claims and Liabilities
Report check box is selected, then specify the
threshold amount for the claims and liabilities
report.
- Output XML
- If the Claims and Liabilities Report
check box is selected, then select No XML.
For German companies, select
Germany.

On the Apply tab, specify this
information:
- Application Review Required
- Select this check box if the applications is required with an
audit listing before they are transferred to the general ledger for
posting.
- Past Due Discount Display
- Select this check box to show discount amounts that are past
due during cash application.
- Discount Grace Days
- Specify the number of grace days that are added to the discount
date so that automatic discounts are applied during cash
application.
- Over Application of Payment
- Select this check box if you can over apply a short payment to
fully pay off an invoice and create a chargeback for the unpaid
portion of the invoice.
- Automatic Credit Apply
- Select this check box if the automatic application occurs when
you cross reference an invoice or debit memo to a credit
memo.
- Third Party Payer
- Select this check box if third party payments are allowed where
you can apply a payment to open items.
- Application Post Date
- Select whether the system date or the post date of the payment
or credit memo is the default value for the general ledger date on
application records.
- Open Balance Include Drafts
- Select this check box if bill of exchange item balances are
included. If this check box is cleared, then bill of exchange items
balances are excluded.
- Interface to Payables
- Select this check box if the interface between Receivables and Payables is
allowed and the automatic vendor creation functionality of the
interface is also allowed.
- Default Vendor Class
- Select a code that represents a subset of vendors within a
vendor group.
- Tax Recovery on Discount
- Select this check box if a prorated amount
of tax is recognized from cash application discounting on
transactions that have taxes-based distribution
records.
- Apply Cash Across Receivable Companies
- Select this check box if transactions for all companies for the selected
customer are available for receivable cash
application.
- Allow Zero Payment Adjustments
- Select this check box if zero payment adjustments are allowed.
- Prevent Write Off Before Transaction GL Date
- Select this check box if the write off GL Date can only be greater than or equal
to the invoice/payment GL Date.
- Allow Historical Application Reversal
- Select this check box to enable reversal of cash applications where a payment or
an invoice that is associated with the application is
historical.

On the Accounts tab, specify this
information:
- Accounts Receivable Code
- Specify the Receivables general ledger code and description. The code contains a general
ledger Receivables account and defaults when
process levels are added in Process
Level.
- Received Not Applied Code
- Specify the default receive not applied general ledger code and
description that contains a contra-asset account that is updated
when payments are specified and when payments are
applied.
- Finance Charge Code
- If you specify a finance charge code and
description in Rate
Code, then select a default finance general ledger
code and description for the company.
- Prepayment Code
- Specify a default prepayment code and
description for the company.
- Detail Payments
- Select whether one general ledger
interface record for each payment is created by the
system.
- Detail Finance Charges
- Select whether one accrual general ledger
interface record for each finance charge is created by the
system.

On the Finance Charge tab, specify
this information:
- Charge Type
- Select the type of finance charges
assessed for the customers of this company.
- Rate Code
- Select the type of finance charges
assessed for the customers of this company.
- Grace Days
- Select the type of finance charges
assessed for the customers of this company.
- Disputes Financed
- Select the check box Whether to access
finance charges on disputed invoice amounts.
- Print Notice
- Select the check box whether finance
charge documents are printed.
- Charge Customer Minimum
- Select the check box if a minimum finance
charge is assessed.
- Late Charge Rounding
- Select the check box whether the resulting
interest charge invoices are rounded to the nearest currency
unit.
- Customer Minimum
- If you have selected the check box in
Charge Customer
Minimum, then specify the minimum finance charge
amount to be assessed. If the calculated finance charge for the
customer is less than the value specified, then the minimum charge
is assessed.
- Last Number
- Specify the number of the last finance
charge notice created. If this field is blank, then the number
begins with one.

On the Electronic Fund Transfer tab,
in the Company Processing section, specify this information:
- Enable Electronic Funds Transfer
- Select this check box if electronic funds
transfers are processed by the company.
- System Calendar
- Specify the calendar that is used to
process electronic fund transfers. The calendar is set up in the
environment's calendar specification.
- Due Days
- Specify the number of due days that are
used to calculate the ending due date in electronic fund transfer
processing. If you specify a number, then also select whether the
number of days are actual days or bank days.
- Global Ledger Days
- Specify the number of global ledger days
that are used to calculate the global ledger posting date for the
cash deposit. If you specify a number, then also select whether the
number of days are actual days or bank days.
- Deposit Days
- Specify the number of deposit days that
are used to calculate the deposit date for the cash deposit. If you
specify a number, then also select whether the number of days are
actual days or bank days.

On the Electronic Fund Transfer tab,
in the Group or Company Processing section, specify this information:
- Deposit Cash Code
- Specify the deposit cash code valid in
Cash Management.
- Credit Cash Code
- Specify the credit cash code valid in
Cash Management.
- Deposit Payment Code
- Specify the deposit payment code valid in
Cash Management.
- Credit Payment Code
- Specify the credit payment code valid in
Cash Management.
- EFT Company ID
- Specify the company that is receiving and
sending funds when electronic transfers are processed.
- Last EFT Debit Memo Number
- Specify the last fund transfer debit memo
number used for cash application purposes for credit balance
processing.

On the Bill Of Exchange tab, specify
this information:
- Acceptance Accounting Option
- Select whether bills of exchange are
posted to the bill of exchange receivables upon
acceptance.
- Remittance Number
- Specify the last bill of exchange
remittance number assigned. If this field is blank, then the number
begins with one.
- BOE Number
- Select whether automatic numbering or
manual numbering is used for internally created bills of
exchange.
- Last BOE Number
- If the BOE
Number field is Automatic
Numbering, then specify the last bill of exchange
number that is assigned.
- Check Bank Risk
- Select the check box if the company
performs bank risk processing when cashing a discounted
remittance.
- Discounted Remit Payment Code
- Specify the payment code used in the
Cash Management solution when a discounted
remittance is cashed.
- Remittance Control
- Select this check box if remittance
control is used and bills of exchange are processed with a single
maturity date.

On the Bill Of Exchange tab, in the
General Ledger Account Codes section, specify this information:
- Acceptance Code
- If Acceptance Accounting Option is
required at acceptance, then specify a bill of exchange acceptance
code and description.
- Financial Revenue Code
- Specify a financial revenue code and
description that represents a general ledger account used for bill
of exchange financial revenue accounting.
- Financial Expense Code
- Specify a financial expense code and
description that represents a general ledger account used for bill
of exchange financial expense accounting.
- Dishonored Code
- Specify a dishonored code and description
that represents a general ledger account used for dishonored bill of
exchange accounting.
