Standard contracts

Standard contracts are user-defined lists of standard charges. They represent your most common combinations of charges that you can copy to new customer contracts for a franchise billing company.

When you copy standard contracts to customer contracts, you assign line detail to customer contracts for these types of charges: sales-based, note-based, special charges, or any combination of these charges. In Franchise Billing, a standard contract does not include customer contract header information. You can use the line detail as a template or list of charges that you can copy to contract headers.

As a franchiser, set up a predefined contract with each of your franchisees. You define a standard contract to group charges not yet assigned to a franchisee. You can routinely copy a standard contract to new customer contracts providing a shortcut for data entry.

Before you define a standard contract, you must define the franchise company.

Before you can add a charge to a standard contract, you must define any standard charges. For example, sales-based, sales-based sliding scale, note-based, and special charges.
