Creating price list sales classes

Use this procedure to assign a price list and a discount to items that are within a specific sales class.

  1. Select Financials > Billing > Setup > Price List Sales Class.
  2. Click Create.
  3. Specify this information:
    Company
    Select a company number.
    Price List
    Select a price list.
    Major Sales Class
    Select the range of sales classes that are affected by these pricing options. Items are assigned to this major sales class unless they are overridden by price list parameters that are defined for the item.
    Minor Sales Class
    Select the range of sales classes that are affected by these pricing options. Items are assigned to this major sales class unless they are overridden by price list parameters that are defined for the item.
    Prohibit Sales
    Select this check box to prohibit customers who are assigned to this price list from ordering items within this sales class.
    No Charge
    Select this check box if items in this sales class have no charge when they are ordered and priced using this price list.
    Amalgamated Pricing
    Select this check box to use amalgamated pricing. Amalgamated pricing is used to offer a price break to customers who order a certain quantity.
    Discount Code
    Select a discount code to automatically add it to every line of an order when item prices are calculated using this price list.
    Break quantities
    Specify 9999999 to override the percentage of a sales class without creating quantity breaks.
    Break percents
    Specify the upper limit of the item order quantity if special pricing percentages apply for items in a specific sales class. This is based on quantities ordered.
  4. Click Save.
