Creating ledgers

You can create an unlimited number of ledgers.

  1. Select Financials > Global Ledger > Setup > Finance Enterprise Group > Maintenance.
  2. Open the finance enterprise group and click the Ledger tab.
  3. In the Ledgers pane, click Create.
  4. Specify this information:
    Ledger
    Specify the name and description of the ledger.
    Effective Date
    Specify the date on which the ledger takes effect. If this field is blank, then the current date is used.
    Elimination Ledger
    Select this check box if this ledger is an elimination ledger. You can assign it to an entity relation. When an inter-entity journal is selected for elimination and is released, a corresponding transaction is created in the same journal in the elimination ledger. If you select this check box, then you must add the ledger to a reporting basis. This check box is available only if the Enable Related Party Elimination check box is selected on the Options tab.
  5. Click Save.
