Viewing transaction history
For every EDI transaction sent or received, a record is written to the EDI Transaction History. This process provides the means to query against this table and view transaction history. Numerous indexes and filters make it possible to search the table in a wide variety of ways.
- Select Supply Management > EDI Processing > EDI Data Menu > Transaction History.

Specify the variables by which to search for a transaction.
- Transaction Date
- The date on which an EDI job was run.
- EDI Number
- The EDI number that was specified on trading partner setup for a specific trading partner and transaction type combination.
- Connection ID
- The ID number, date and time stamp, for an EDI job. A connection ID is automatically created when an inbound or an outbound EDI job is run.
- Transaction Set
- Specify a transaction type, for example, 850 or 855.
- Direction
- Specify whether transaction is Inbound or outbound.
- Document Number
- Specify the document number. For example, if the transaction type is 850, you can specify a specific purchase order number in this field.
- ISA Control Number
- The interchange control number.
- GS Control Number
- The group control number.
- ST Control Number
- The transaction control number.
- ACK Status
- An event's EDI translation status. You could, for example, search for all events with a Waiting status.
- Communication Status
- You can search for all events with a FAILURE communication session.

Click the Search button.
The EDI Transaction History page is displayed with transaction history.
After you select search criteria on EDI Transaction History, your selected transaction history data is displayed. These lists contains the fields that are displayed on this page:
- Line 1: EDI Number, Transaction Date, Connection ID, Transaction Type, Direction, ISA Control number, GS Control number
- Line 2: Acknowledgment Expected, Acknowledgment Date, Transaction Status, Communication Status, Document Number, for example, PO number, and ST Control number.
