Escheatment processing

Use this procedure to set stale dated transactions to escheated and to create journal entries from the stale date suspense account to the escheatment account.

  1. Sign in as Cash Accountant and select Manage Escheatment > Escheatment Processing.
  2. Specify this information:
    Cash Management Group
    Specify the cash management group.
    Cash Code or Cash Code Group
    Specify a valid cash code or a cash code group, if one exists. A cash code represents a bank account. A cash code group represents one or more cash codes.
    Bank Transaction Code
    Select the bank transaction code. This code represents a type of cash payment, bill of exchange payment, or bank service. It must be a valid record in the Bank Transaction Code file.
    Process Level Processing
    Select this check box to escheat transactions by process level.
    Process Level
    Select a value to limit the report to only the specified process level.
    Include All Transactions
    Select this check box to include all qualified escheated transactions in the report and CSV file.
    Print Address
    Select this check box to have the full address printed on the report.
    Country
    Specify the country.
    State
    Specify a state to filter the escheated records to those with vendors in the specified state.
    Filename
    Specify a filename for the output files. If this field is blank, the default filename is used.
    Escheat Date
    Specify the as-of date to run the report. If this field is blank, the system date is used.
    Days
    Specify the days to determine the days past issue date. Any transactions that have passed their issue date and are in a status of Stale Dated are flagged as escheated.
    Post Date
    Specify the date to post the journal entries you created. If this field is blank, the system date is used.
  3. Click OK.
