Recalculating depreciation

Use this procedure to view the updated depreciation values. You can also recalculate depreciation for a selected asset book from the in-service date up to the current period.
  1. Select Depreciation Recalculation.
  2. In the Selections Options section, specify this information:
    Release
    Select this check box to release the recalculated depreciation amounts.
    Book
    Specify the name of the book.
    From Service Date
    Select the beginning in-service date.
    To In Service Date
    Select the ending in-service date.
  3. In the Additional Options section, specify this information:
    Simulated
    Select whether the depreciation is simulated.
    Fully Depreciated
    Select Yes to include fully depreciated assets in the report, No to exclude them, or Only to report only on fully depreciated assets.
    Method
    Select the depreciation method.
    Life
    Specify in months the asset life.
    Asset
    Select the asset. If you leave this field blank, then all assets are reported.
    Tag
    Select the tag number.
    Asset Group
    Select the asset group.
    Page Break
    Select whether there is a page break before each new listing.
    Division
    Select the division. If this field is blank, then all divisions are selected.
    Type
    Specify the asset type and the subtype. If this field is blank, then all types and subtypes are selected.
    Category
    Select a category. If this field is blank, then All is the default.
    Property
    Select a property type. Examples are Land, Personal, Real.
    Report Sequence
    Select the sort order for the report.
  4. In the Release Options section, specify this information:
    Year to Date Depreciation
    Select Yes to recalculate year-to-date depreciation.
    Life to Date Depreciation
    Select Yes to recalculate life-to-date depreciation.
    Depreciation Start Date
    Select Yes to recalculate depreciation start date for the asset.
    Remaining Life
    Select Yes to recalculate remaining life for the asset.
    Table Year
    Select Yes to recalculate depreciation for table year.
  5. In the Report Distribution section, select a distribution list and export type for Depreciation Recalculation Report.
  6. Click Submit.
