Generating asset barcode labels

  1. Select Asset Bar Code Labels.
  2. Specify this information:
    Print Number of Labels
    To reserve labels for future assets, specify the number of labels to reserve.

    If you specify a number in this field, then these fields must be blank: Assets, Item, Location, and Location Detail Level.

    Number of Duplicates
    To print several copies of a barcode, specify the number of copies.
    • For reserved barcodes, you can print duplicates for any item with quantities higher than one.
    • For assigned asset barcodes or space barcodes, you can print duplicates to replace existing damaged barcode labels.
  3. In the Print Asset Bar Code Label section, specify this information:
    Asset
    To reprint one or more copies of an assigned barcode label, select an asset and item number. The appropriate barcode is located. If you specify values in the Asset Number and Item fields, then the Location, and Location Level fields must be blank.
    Item
    To reprint one or more copies of an assigned barcode label, select an asset and item number. The process finds the appropriate barcode. If you specify any values in the Asset Number and Item fields, then the Location, and Location Level fields must be blank.
    Location
    To print one or more copies of a space label, you must select the location that is associated with the space barcode. The Asset, and Item fields must be blank.
  4. In the Location Detail Level 1, 2, and 3 fields, select the location detail that is associated with the space barcode. The location detail that consists of three levels must exist for the location on Location Detail.
  5. In the Report Distribution section, select a distribution list and export type for Asset Bar Code Labels Report.
  6. Click Submit.
