Tax entities
Before you can define your tax entity, you must define the company in the Global Ledger.
To define your tax entity, you must choose whether to assign global ledger accounts at the company level or the tax code level. The level you choose affects the depth of information that you see. If you assign your global ledger accounts at the company level, then your taxes are summarized and not broken down into individual posting accounts. If you assign your accounts at the tax code level, you can view detailed information about your taxes such as invoiced and accrued tax.
