Journal entries

Use the Update School District page to set up whether you will post journals at the district level or school level.

If you will post journals at the district level, journal entries are held until all schools close each period. You can monitor when schools close, and view journal entries on the School District panel. When all schools are closed, you can release the journals before you can journalize. The journalize process creates the journal entries to the Global Ledger. Schools will not see journal postings.

If you decide to post journals at the school level, a journal is created for every school when they close each period, if Global Ledger accounts exist on the activities.
