Tax ID format

Each country has a specific format for tax identification numbers. Countries in the same region, such as the European Union (EU), may have similar formats.

Mexico specifics

For individuals, use this tax ID format:

  • Characters 1 to 4 alphanumeric
  • Characters 5 to 10 numeric
  • Characters 11 to 13 alphanumeric

For legal entities, use this tax ID format:

  • Characters 1 to 3 alphanumeric, special characters such as & are permitted
  • Characters 4 to 9 numeric
  • Characters 10 to 12 alphanumeric

Alpha characters must be uppercase.

How Infor meets the requirement

The Tax ID must not exceed 25 characters.
