US 1099 forms

The generated 1099 documents vary depending on the selected tape type. The 1099 IDM Creation supports these tape types:

• Original: Prints the original 1099 forms.
• Corrected: Prints the form with corrected errors. These are the error types:
  • Error Type 1: The correction for money amounts. To view the changes, re-run the US 1099 Tape Creation with One Transaction Corrected G as the tape type. The Corrected check box is marked with an X.
  • Error Type 2: The correction for the payee record or information. To view the changes, run this procedure:
    1. Run the US 1099 Tape Creation with Two Transaction Corrected G as the tape type. This prints the original information with zeroed out amounts and an X-mark in the Corrected check box.
    2. Specify the correct payee record.
    3. To view the corrected payee record, re-run the US 1099 Tape Creation with Two Transaction Corrected C as the tape type.
