Turn on Simplified Application Menu for External Applications

Added a configuration parameter that displays a simplified menu in external applications. Some changes in the new menu include reducing the size of the user's picture and name, moving the sign in, sign out, and register buttons to the top of the menu, and wrapping all of the buttons above the search on the original into a single settings menu.
