Move Create Contract action to called out action from main form

This enhancement moves the Create Contract Document action from the main form to a called out action to enhance visibility.

Use these steps to test the enhancement:

  1. Create a new Contract and add lines and terms.
  2. View the main Contract form.
  3. Verify that Create Contract Document is displayed as a called out action.
  4. Verify that Preview No Lines is not displayed as a called-out action, but is available in drill-around.

With this enhancement, change orders and allowances can be processed for contracts.

Contract - IDM changes for create contract document and contract redlining

The complex Contract IDM Process is now improved and provides enhanced usability.

Use these steps to test the enhancement:

  1. Create Contract Classification and Subclassifications. The Used IDM check box is available for all approval types.
  2. For Approvals With No Redlining:
    1. Assign an IDM Template.
    2. Create Articles and Terms.
    3. Release the contract record.
    4. Since no contract document has been generated, a confirmation message is displayed. This message is also displayed for Amendment and Addendum releases.
    5. Select OK.
    6. Run the Create Contract Document action.
    7. Verify that you can view generated document through the hyperlink "Open Contract Document" in the Contract Panel.
  3. For Approvals With Redlining On Document:
    1. Contract record #1
      1. Assign an IDM Template.
      2. Run the Create Contract Document action. A Contract Redline Document is generated through IDM Template.
      3. The Redline Document Panel is now available. You can view the generated document via these links in the Contract and Redline Document Panels respectively: Open Contract Document, Open Redline Document.
      4. Run the Update Redline Document action. The Created By Supplier check box is available on the pop-up form. Selecting or deselecting this check box updates the Created By Supplier attribute in theIDM Application and the Created By Supplier field in FSM. You can view the updated document via the an of the links.
      5. Release Contract record. The Create Contract Document action is no longer available.
      6. Run the Email Contract To Supplier action. The Include Latest Contract Document check box is no longer available.

      1. Run the Create Redline Document action. The Created By Supplier check box is available on the pop-up form. Selecting or deselecting this check box will enable or disable the Created By Supplier attribute in IDM Application and the Created By Supplier field in FSM.
      2. View the created redline document through the Open Contract Document and Open Redline Document links in the Contract and Redline Document Panels respectively.
  4. For No Approvals & Approvals With Redlining On Contract:
    1. Assign an IDM Template.
    2. Run the Create Contract Document action.
    3. You can now view generated document via the Open Contract Document link in the Contract Panel.

Notes:

  • Clicking the Open Contract Document and Open Redline Document links redirects you to the IDM Application.
  • Generated Contract Documents in IDM are “view only” with the exception of Approvals With Redlining On Document.
  • The Create Contract Document action is only restricted to Draft State for Approvals With Redlining On Document.
  • For Contract Email actions, the Include Latest Contract Document check box is no longer be displayed for Approvals With Redlining On Document. However, it is still available for other approval types.
