User-defined ID

You can define how IDs of records in CloudSuite PLM for Fashion are formulated through the ID Generator. By using the ID Generator, you identify the string, number series, sequence, and contextual value to formulate an ID rule and specify the module where that ID rule applies.

• The string serves as the constant value in the ID.
• The number series provides numerical increments to the ID that is necessary to tell records apart from one another.
• The contextual value adds a unique identifier to the ID based on a field that you specify.

The ID Generator can be used to identify the ID format for style, material, trim, color, and request records.
