Importing care information from component items and the main BOM version of a style
You can associate care symbols that are assigned to a style's trim components by importing the symbols to the Care & Content page of the style record. Additionally, you can import BOM items from the main BOM version of a style to the Care & Content tab and use the composition information found in these BOM items.
Importing care information follows this logic:
- Care symbols are selected by care group based on sequence, after comparing all care symbols of the BOM components.
-
The symbol with the lowest number sequence in a care group will be the priority symbol.
For example, 2 BOM lines can have wash symbols: Hand Wash Only (Sequence 1 in the Generic Lookup table), and Cotton Wash at 30 Degrees (Sequence 2 in the Generic Lookup table). In this scenario, the style's Care & Content page will only get the Hand Wash Only symbol for the Wash care group. This logic ensures that if a style is delicate in one area, the style is treated as delicate as a whole.
