Comments
You can post comments to style, material, trim, project, and request records, and reply to comments from other users, within the application.
You can tag comments as public, while comments from partner users are automatically tagged as public but are not shared to other partners.
Comments can be displayed through two views:
- The List view shows all comments in a list format, with the most recent comments on top. The content of this list depends on the current tab. This view is similar to Full view but is shown in a pane. You cannot filter comments in this view.
- The Full view shows all comments. You can filter the list so that comments that are specific to the current tab are displayed.
To post comments on a style, material, trim, or request, open the record and click the
icon. To go view the tab where the comment was placed, double-click the comment. You can attach images and other files to comments and replies.
You can edit your comments and replies in the Comments pane or in the Comments list view. In the pane view, click the
button under your comment. In the Comments list view, click on your comment. Comments that are editable have a white background. Please note that to enter a new line, you have to press Alt+Enter. You can use tags in your comments to trigger ION workflows. Tags begin with the hash character (#), and must be defined first before they can be used to trigger workflows. The workflows must be set up in ION Desk as well. See the Infor CloudSuite PLM for Fashion Administrator Guide or contact your administrator.
Partner users cannot use workflow tags and their comments will not trigger worklows.
To specify a tag, make a comment and type the hash character. A list of available tags is displayed. You can select a tag from the list or continue typing to filter the list until you find the tag that you need.
In the comments full view, partner users can view public comments on records that are tagged to them, such as samples or requests.
