Creating requests

Before you start creating requests, you must first define request types and request subtypes.

Note: You can create a request from the style, material, and trim grids. To create a request, right-click a record and select Create Request.
  1. From the menu, select Basics > Request.
  2. Click New.
    Materials, trims, and styles that can be added to the request are displayed on the left pane.
  3. Specify item/s for the request. Optionally, use the Search field to find a specific item.
    • To add a material record as a request item, click the Material Library icon.
    • To add a trim record as a request item, click the Trim Library icon.
    • To add a style record as a request item, click the Style Library icon.
  4. Select records and click Add.
    A message indicating that new request details are being populated is displayed.
  5. Specify main request information:
    ID
    Specify a request ID.

    Optionally, click the Generate ID icon to generate a request ID based on ID rules.

    Number
    This field displays the request number that is generated by the system after you complete creating the request.
    Module
    This field displays the module of the requested item.
    Type
    Select a request type. Request types are a generic lookup type and can be defined in Generic Lookup.
    Sub-Type
    Select a request sub-type. Request sub-types are a generic lookup type and can be defined in Generic Lookup.
    Reason Code
    Select a reason code from the list.
    Reason
    Specify a reason.

    Use this field to provide a reason if the request is rejected.

    Due Date
    Specify the due date for this request.
    Date Requested
    Specify the date this request is made.
    Received Date
    Specify the date this request is received.
    Status
    Select a request status.
    Iteration
    Specify the iteration of this request.
    Responsible
    Select a user from the list.
After identifying the main information of your request, you must specify additional details based on the request type.
