Request template

A request template enables you to automatically generate a new request when a certain request is approved or rejected, based on a criteria that you define.

When a request is approved or rejected then saved, the application looks for an active request template based on the brand, division, or category of the product to identify what template applies for the request. Once a template is found, a new request is created based on the information defined on the template. The New Request window shows a new request with information already filled up.

When a request is rejected (request status is set to Rejected and record is saved), a new request is created with information based on the rejected request.

If you set up a request template but did not select Autogenerate Next Request, users are asked after approving or rejecting a request whether to generate the next request after saving the current request, or to save the request without generating the next request.
