Defining knit construction of a material

Use these steps to define the construction of a knit material.

  1. On the material details page, click the Construction icon.
  2. On the attributes page, specify construction details:
    Category
    This field displays Knit as the material category.
    Category Group
    Select a category group. If you have already defined the category group on the Overview page, this field will display that value.
    Courses
    Specify the number of courses of the knit material.
    Wales
    Specify the number of wales of the knit material
    Gauge
    Specify the number of gauges of the knit material.
    Shrinkage Width %
    Specify the shrinkage width of the knit material.
    Shrinkage Length %
    Specify the shrinkage length of the knit material.
    Width / Unit
    Specify a width value and the unit of measurement.
    Cuttable Width
    Specify the cuttable width of the knit material.
    Weight / Unit
    Specify a weight value and the unit of measurement.
    Before Wash Net Weight
    Specify the net weight of the material before wash.
    After Wash Net Weight
    Specify the net weight of the material after wash.
    Repeat Height/Unit
    Specify a value and the unit of measure.
    Repeat Width/Unit
    Specify a value and the unit of measure.
  3. In the Finish section, click Add New Row.
  4. Specify this information:
    Finish Type
    Select a finish type. Finish types are a generic lookup type and can be defined in Generic Lookup.
    Work Center
    Specify a work center.
    Time Estimate
    Specify a time estimate to complete the finish.
    Cost
    Specify the cost of the finish.
    Currency
    Select a currency for the cost of the finish.
  5. Click Save.
