Assigning colorways to a material

Colorways pertain to colors that are used to create a style, material, or trim. In the application, colorways can be defined in three ways:

  • As colors, to be used in styles, materials, and trims that only contain a single color
  • As combination colors, to be used in styles, materials, and trims that use two or more colors
  • As print, to be used in styles, materials, and trims that use single and combination colors.

Use these steps to assign colorways to a material:

  1. On the material details page, click the Colorways icon.
  2. Click the Add Colors icon.
  3. Select colors.
    • Click the Color Picker icon to select colors from the Color Picker.
    • Click the Color Library icon to select colors from the Color library.
  4. Click Add.
  5. Optionally, to add more colors to a color that you have added to the material, select a color and click the Add Color Content icon.

      • Click the Color Picker icon to select colors from the Color Picker.
      • Click the Color Library icon to select colors from the Color library.
    2. Click Add.
  6. Optionally, select a color that you have added to the material and click the Add Images icon.
    1. Select an image
      • Click Add from local files to select an image from your local computer.
      • Click Add from library to select an image from the document library of the application.
    2. Click Add Image.
  7. Optionally, to set a colorway as the main color, select a colorway and click the cell before the Color Content column.

    A main color is used as the default color in lab dip requests.

    A check mark to indicate that the colorway is a main color is displayed.
  8. Click Save.
