Upgrading the .DLL files

By upgrading the .DLL files, the new translations are added to the resource files that you can use for Infor Fashion PLM.

Note: All previous modifications for the English translations are replaced by the default setting of the new resource files after you upgrade the Infor Fashion PLM application. We recommend that you create a copy of the modified files for English translations before upgrading the application to keep the changes in the latest version.
  1. From the toolbar, select File > Options > Directory Settings, or click the Options icon.
  2. In the Working Area Path field, use the existing folder that is specified by default. Optionally, specify a different folder that you want to use as working area.
    Note: You can specify the folder that you created to copy the modified files of English translations to keep your changes after upgrading the .DLL files.
  3. Click Save to copy the modified resource files from the previous version.
    Note: You must save the directory settings whether you changed the Working Area Path or used the location from the previous version.
  4. If the resource files are not compiled, click Compile Resource Files to DLL.
  5. Click Extract DLL File.
  6. Optionally, to view the downloaded .RES files, click a folder in the Working Area.
    The .RES files are displayed in the navigation pane.
  7. To open all .RES files, click a language folder in the navigation pane.
    All .RES files in that language folder are displayed on the workbench. The New icon is displayed to indicate the new resource files. This icon is only displayed upon your initial access to the Localization Tool after the upgrade.
  8. To open .RES files individually, expand a language folder and select a .RES file.
    The file is displayed on the workbench. The new resource keys for the selected .RES file are highlighted on the workbench.
  9. To change the language text, double-click a row in the Default Value column and specify your text changes.
    Note: If you want to modify the language text for the new resource files, we recommend that you apply all language text changes before saving. After clicking Save, the indicators for the new resource files are no longer available.
  10. Click Save.
  11. Click Compile Resource Files to DLL to use the modified resources files in Infor Fashion PLM.
    A message verifying that the compilation is successful is displayed.
  12. To view the .DLL files, navigate to the working path that you identified as the export location in the tool.
  13. Use the localized .DLL files in Infor Fashion PLM.
