Using localized .DLL files in Infor Fashion PLM

After compiling modified resource files to localized .DLL, you can use these localized .DLL files in the Infor Fashion PLM application by doing any of these tasks:

  • Manually replacing existing .DLL files
  • Copying and pasting new .DLL files
  • Exporting new .DLL files to the specified path
Note: You must create a new language folder in the AssemblyArea folder for each new set of localized .DLL files that you use in Infor Fashion PLM. The folder name should be the same as the language code of the .DLL files. For example, if you intend to use .DLL files that you localized in Chinese, create a folder and name it zh-CN.
  1. Navigate to the installation path of Infor Fashion PLM and access the AssemblyArea folder.
  2. Search for these .DLL files:
    • For Administration: Ird.SC.Base.Administration.Resources.resources.DLL
    • For FSH: Ird.SC.Assortment.Resources.resources.DLL
    • For BASE: Ird.SC.Base.Resources.resources.DLL
    • For ARPBackgroundTasks: Ird.SC.Arp.Assortment.Resources.resources.DLL, Ird.SC.Base.Resources.resources.DLL, and Ird.SC.Arp.BackgroundTasks.resources.DLL
  3. Use this table to apply localized .DLL files in Infor Fashion PLM:
    Purpose Action
    To replace existing .DLL files for a specific language Delete the existing file. Copy and paste the localized .DLL file to the corresponding AssemblyArea subfolder.
    To add new .DLL files for a specific language Copy and paste the localized .DLL file to the corresponding AssemblyArea subfolder.
    To export new .DLL files to a specific language folder
    1. Click Export in the toolbar. The Export Settings window is displayed.
    2. Click the ellipsis button to specify the language folder where the files will be exported, and click Export.
    3. Select the languages that you want to export and click Save. Files will be copied in the Infor Fashion PLM installation path.
  4. To start using Infor Fashion PLM in a different language, access the Infor Fashion PLM application and go to Admin > Preferences > Languages & Fonts.
