Capabilities

Support for the entire lifecycle of your business documents is supported by IDM, from input through storage, retrieval, and sharing.

In addition, you can use free text and attribute searches to find your documents. You can edit:

  • Document parameters and attributes within the IDM client application.
  • Documents directly in Microsoft® Office applications.

You can also collaborate using Infor Ming.le by working on documents utilizing Infor ION workflows, or use them as shared content in Infor Ming.le conversations.

Automatically add documents to IDM as part of a capturing process or an automated process that is connected to your Infor application. Or you can add them manually using any of the IDM interfaces. The system can create the appropriate metadata, providing the ability to reference your documents to your Infor business objects. With IDM’s Document Capture component, you can capture, scan, and store an invoice image file together with data that is extracted from the invoice. That file can be automatically shown in correct context in a corresponding Infor application, or can kick off automatic workflows for processing. All this can be accomplished using basic setup and configuration.

Store
All documents are stored in a repository that applies role-based authentication and authorization to ensure the safety of your information. The repository also provides versioning and check-out/check-in capabilities. You are always working with the latest, most complete version of a document. The full version history is also available to view.
Connect
Attributes that are stored with your documents allow soft links to be created between your documents and your applications. Your application does not require any of the specifics about a stored document and how to connect to it. This connection is created by IDM. Your business objects and documents share all the same Attributes through your product’s correct adoption of Infor OS.
Deliver
Build new documents, transfer transactional data to your Infor solution, and reference documents in-context through both standard and custom integrations.
