Mapping a document to a widget

You must know the subject tag of the widget on which the link is displayed.

You must activate a widget first to make it visible on the Home page.

Each widget includes an IIQL meta‑tagging link that shows mapped content on the widget. You can use meta tags to map content documents and uploaded PDF files or spreadsheets to widgets. For new content documents and uploaded files, you may be required to configure or add a meta tag so the widget shows the content correctly.

To map a content document, related link, or an uploaded document to a widget, you must perform these tasks:

Determine the subject tag of the widget on which the link to the document is displayed.
Activate the widget and make it visible on the Home page.
Determine the meta tagging strategy for the widget.

Then, you must add or configure the widget meta tag if it's not already present. For content documents, you must configure the widget's subject data item to match the subject of the associated landing page.

Log in to HRSD Knowledgebase.
On the Home page, click the ellipsis icon.
Select Document Manager.
On the Document Manager page, locate the document to edit.
If the document is not yet published, click Edit. If it is published, select the name of the document.

Note: If the document is checked out by another user, you can't check out the document until the other user checks it in.
Click the document title menu list.
To configure the data items:
1. Select Data Items from the list.
2. Select the widget data items.
3. Close the Data Items menu.
If no widget data item is available, add a new meta tag:
1. Select Meta Tags from the list.
2. Right-click the name of the document.
3. Select Meta Tags > Add Meta.
4. Specify this information:

  Specify the subject of the landing page that is associated with the widget. For example, pay.
5. Click Save.
6. Close the Meta Tags menu.
