Adding images to documents

  1. Log in to HRSD Knowledgebase.
  2. On the Home page, click the ellipsis icon.
  3. Select Document Manager.
  4. If the document is not yet published, click Edit. If it is published, select the name of the document.
    If the document isn't checked out by another user, it becomes checked out and available for editing. If the document is checked out by another user, you can't check out the document until the other user checks it in.
  5. In Edit mode, click into the content area where you want to add the image. The content area opens for editing, and you are ready to place the image.
  6. Click the Insert/Edit Image button.
  7. Click the camera icon.
  8. Select the image you want to insert.
  9. Click Insert. The file path is displayed in the Source field.
  10. Provide a simple description for the image in the Image description field for Section 508 compliance.
  11. In the first Dimensions field, specify 100%. Leave the second Dimensions field blank.
  12. Click the Advanced tab.
  13. In the Style field, specify max-width: <###>px;.
    The maximum width is equal to or less than the actual image width. You must know the width of the image which can be obtained in the Properties tab of the image prior to uploading the image.
  14. Click OK.
  15. Click Save.
