Countdown timer widget configuration
Event start and end dates can begin in daylight saving time and end in standard time, or begin in standard time and end in daylight saving time.
The timer accounts for differences in time zones. For example, if the timer is set to end at midnight EST, then the timer ends at 9:00 PM for users in the PST zone.
Before you configure the widget, you must identify these items that are relevant to your configuration:- The name of the timer that is displayed on Set Up Home Page. For example, Compliance Training.
- The groups that have access to the timer.
- The image that is displayed in the widget. You can use the standard image, or you can select another image. The dimensions of images must be exactly 470 pixels in width x 100 pixels in height. Files must be in PNG or JPG format.
- A text description of the image, for 508 Compliance.
- Optional introductory text that is displayed below the timer and above the link list. For example, you can specify Compliance training is the process by which employees' understanding of your organizations policies is verified.
- Optional link list header. For example, Materials for review.
- Optional link list text that is displayed above the link list. For example, Complete each training in the list.
- Optional documents that are mapped to the links in the link list. Links to these documents populate the link list.
- UTC parameter for dates based on time zone and standard or daylight savings.
- The text in single-timer widgets and double-time widgets.
- The format for text that is displayed under the numeric value on the timer. For example, Days, Hours, Minutes, Seconds or Days, Hrs, Min, Sec or D, H, M, S.
- A title that is displayed below the image and above the messages. This is not the same as the title. For example, Compliance Training.
- Pinning placement to pin the widget to the Home page.
