Landing page configuration

You can configure the landing page to show specific sections, assign group access, and control how the landing page is displayed in the site navigation.

Activating and deactivating landing page sections

Selecting and deselecting the options associated to sections can activate and deactivate the elements of the landing page.

  1. Log in to HRSD Knowledgebase.
  2. On the Home page, click the ellipsis icon.
  3. Select Document Manager.
  4. Select the landing page to configure. If the document is not yet published, click Edit to check the document out.
    If the document isn't checked out by another user, it becomes checked out and available for editing. If the document is checked out by another user, you can't check out the document until the other user checks it in.
  5. With the landing page open, select Options from the drop-down menu beside the landing page name.
  6. Select the elements to include on the landing page. Select the widget option if necessary.
  7. Click Apply.
  8. Click OK.
  9. Click the X icon to close the Options menu. All sections are displayed in the document in Edit mode even if you don't specify them in the Configure Options menu. When you publish the document, the landing page shows only the sections that you specify.

Setting landing page placement in the navigation menu

You can set the placement of landing pages on the main navigation menu. When your site is built, a link to each landing page is displayed in the main navigation menu. You can change the order of the links in the navigation menu by assigning a number value to each landing page.

All landing pages with the same menu order value are displayed in alphanumeric order.

  1. Log in to HRSD Knowledgebase.
  2. On the Home page, click the ellipsis icon.
  3. Select Document Manager.
  4. Select the name of the document to edit. If the document is not yet published, click Edit to check the document out.
    If the document isn't checked out by another user, it becomes checked out and available for editing. If the document is checked out by another user, you can't check out the document until the other user checks it in.
  5. Click the document name menu.
  6. Select Data Items > Configure Data Items .
  7. Click menuorder.
  8. Select a number.
  9. Click OK.
  10. Click the X icon to close the Data Items panel.
  11. Publish the document to set or reset the location.
