Blocking a document from publication

You can prevent the premature deployment of documents to the Live environment by blocking individual documents or all documents from publication, and unblocking blocked documents when they are published to Live.

At the organizational level, blocking prevents all documents from being published to the live site. At the document level, blocking prevents a specific document from being published while enabling other documents to be published.

Users who attempt to publish blocked documents see messages that identify the level at which blocking applies.

You can use the audit trail report of a document to view who blocks the document and the reason for the block.
