Landing page layout

A landing page consists of main navigation, general elements, and section elements. During implementation, your organization works with Infor subscription services to specify and implement the landing pages for your portal.

This table shows the general classifications of landing page elements:

Navigation Area that provides contextual links related to the landing page

General elements Elements that define the overall structure and visual presentation of the landing page

Section elements Content that you can use to present information relevant to a specific theme of the landing page, including links to content documents, related links, and forms
  • Links to content pages related to the landing page theme
  • Links to associated forms and resources

Navigation

The navigation menu contains links that support the theme of the landing page. Navigation links reflect the related links or forms that you map to the landing page.

This table shows the available link types in the navigation menu:

Overview A link to the landing page specified in the subject data item
See All Shows links to documents that are mapped to the same section as the document itself
Related Links Shows links to documents mapped to the same Landing Page Related links section

Find a Form

Shows links to forms that are mapped to the same Landing Page Find a Form section

General elements

You can characterize the landing page with general elements by performing these actions:

  • Configure a banner on the page
  • Add introductory text to the page
  • Activate sections and widgets
  • Deactivate any unused sections
  • Configure the headers and introductory text for each section
  • Configure a footer on the page
  • Configure the widget image and text

Sections

In a section, you manage content that is relevant to a subset of information that is organized on the landing page. You can include up to nine sections on a landing page and arrange the sections in three columns and three rows. You can also use fewer sections on a page.

For example, the Employment Policies landing page can include the sections Employee Relations, Workplace Guidelines, Security, and others.

Each section can include these elements:
  • Heading
  • Brief introduction or summary of the section
  • Links for mapping documents or forms
  • Integration links to the section

Landing page elements

This table shows the option elements of a landing page:
Element Description
Banner Adds an image at the top of the page that spans columns 1-3.
Footer content Adds content at the bottom of the page that spans columns 1-3.
Forms Links to all related forms that are mapped to the landing page and a link to the All Forms page.
Image Adds an optional image before the third column, below the banner and introductory text.
Introductory text

Adds an introductory text for the landing page above columns 1-3.

Main navigation Adds a link to the landing page in the navigation menu.
Related links Links to all integration documents that are mapped to the landing page and displayed on the left sidebar.
Sections 1-9 Three rows of three columns containing headers, an introductory text, and links for mapping purposes.
Widget When selected, adds a landing page widget to the Home page.
