Configuring the landing page widget

You must perform these tasks before you configure a landing page widget:
  • Determine the subject tag of the widget on which the link to the document is displayed.
  • Activate the widget and make it visible on the Home page.

Adding a landing page widget to the Home page

You can configure a landing page widget to include links, texts, and an image.

  1. Log in to HRSD Knowledgebase.
  2. On the Home page, click the ellipsis icon.
  3. Select Document Manager.
  4. On the Document Manager, locate the document to edit.
  5. If the document is not yet published, click Edit. If it is published, select the name of the document.
    If the document isn't checked out by another user, it becomes checked out and available for editing. If the document is checked out by another user, you can't check out the document until the other user checks it in.
  6. Click Options beside the name of the document.
  7. On the Configure Options tab, click Widget.
  8. Optionally, you can select another option from the list as required.
  9. Click Apply.
  10. Click the X icon to close the Configure Options tab.
  11. Publish to the Stage environment:
    1. Click Publish.
    2. Select Publish Draft > Stage.
    3. Click OK.
  12. On the Edit page, select Check In > Check In.
  13. Optionally, in the dialog box, you can add notes about the changes to the document.

    We recommend that you specify a note for audit tracking.

  14. Click Save & Check In.
  15. Publish to the Live environment:
    1. Click the name of the document.
    2. On the Edit page, select Publish > Live.
