Restoring inheritance when you modify a content area

You can use the Undo Override feature to restore document inheritance when you modify a content area element. When you modify a content area in a document with inheritance, inheritance is broken, and a new instance of the block element is created. The Undo Override feature reverses that action, deleting the new instance of the block element and restoring inheritance.

This feature is useful when you are editing a content area in a document and decide to revert to the inherited version of that content area.
Note: You can restore inheritance only while you are working on the document in Edit mode, before you save the document. After the document has been saved, you cannot restore inheritance.
With the document open in Edit mode, right-click in the content area for which you want to restore inheritance and select Undo Override. The content area that has a broken inheritance is identified by a red inheritance icon. The system replaces the text element with the inherited text element.
