Search methods and prioritization

Search results are returned based on the ranking of the document, as determined by the index server. Results are affected by the search terms and key words in the title and body of the document.

Infor-authored documents have been optimized to maximize the likelihood of matches in document titles. In contrast, uploaded documents like Microsoft Word documents or PDFs are not as highly optimized. Infor cannot guarantee that a specific document will display in the top results for a specific search phrase.

The standard search function combines any or all of these methods:

• key words
• meta tags
• personal preference filters

If a third party pushes enrollment information to Infor, search results are prioritized in order according to these elements:

• the plans in which the employee is enrolled
• the plans for which the employee is eligible
• results the employee can find of interest, based on the plans for which the employee is eligible

If no enrollment information is pushed to Infor search results are prioritized according to these elements:

• the plans for which the employee is eligible
• results the employee can find of interest, based on the plans for which the employee is eligible

Knowledgebase includes two areas where users input search terms:

• the Header Search area, which displays on every page
• the Search Results area, which displays only on the Search Results page

Lookup Terms is a managed list of search terms that help users target precise results. When a user types the first three letters of a search term in the Search Input field, a list of suggested searches is shown. These suggested searches are the Lookup Terms that most closely match the search term that the user is typing. The user can select a Lookup Term from the list to search for it.

Customers must create and manage their lists of Lookup Terms. Customers can use the Admin tool to add and manage Lookup terms. Admins can add terms to the Lookup Terms list in two ways:

• add terms manually to the list of Lookup Terms

• select terms from a list of each unique search terms that users used that are not already on the list of Lookup Terms
