Medical Cost Calculator

The Medical Cost Calculator has been redesigned and now runs on a new platform. The enhanced user experience includes these main features:
  • Add Family Members: Users specify the number and type of individuals who are included in the calculations, such as spouses, domestic partners, and children.
  • Enter Tax Rates: Users specify the tax rates that are used to calculate FSA and HAS values in the calculator.
  • Estimate Use: Users configure options and services to calculate the estimated costs for individuals or families in various scenarios.
  • Included Services: Users can view the services that are used in the calculations, the units per slider increment, the costs used in coinsurance calculation in terms of the national average in-network and out-of-network costs, and a description of each service.

Users can change settings without exiting the calculator. Users can save settings; the next time a user accesses the calculator, the settings populate the calculator.

Users can print results.

Help Topics that detail the use of the calculator are available to users. These topics vary from client to client depending upon the available benefits.

The Medical Cost Calculator is accessed through a link at the Health and Wellness page of the portal.

No enablement is required. At the end of December, 2020, the new Medical Cost Calculator will be added to your organization by Infor, and the older version will be removed. All data from the original set up of the various medical plans will be retained.
