About roles for content tools access
A user must have the appropriate access to perform actions that involve the creation or editing of content. To conditions must be met:
- The user has been assigned the level of access that is required to perform the action described.
- The user is a member of a group that has been assigned access to the document.
There are two types of access:
Type | Description |
---|---|
Producer | A user with permission to perform some or all available toolset functions. |
Reviewer | A user with permission to edit pages only in workflows. |
Example: A producer creates a workflow. A step in that workflow involves a reviewer reviewing and editing a document. A reviewer who accesses the document through the workflow can perform editing functions on that specific document only after the user forwards the document to the next step in the workflow, the user can no longer edit the document.
