Adding and editing the header image

You can insert a primary image and an optional background image or color into the header. To use an image in the header, you upload an image to the library, copy the image file's URL, and paste a portion of it into the advanced CSS field in the Branding Options menu. Maximum image sizes:

Left-side image: Maximum width=800px, maximum height=60px

Right-side image: Maximum width=200px, maximum height=46px

Full header banner single image: Maximum width=1430px, maximum height=60px

File type: .png is preferred; .jpg is acceptable

The best practice is to use a single image that includes the company logo and background.

  1. Click the Document Manager button.
  2. Open and check out any document.
  3. Click into any content area on the document.
  4. Click the Insert/Edit button on the toolbar.
  5. Click the Camera button.
  6. If the image has not yet been added, you must add the image. To add the image, click Upload. If the image has been uploaded to the system already, skip to step 8.
  7. Find the file you want to upload and click it. The File Browser menu refreshes, and the file is uploaded to the library.
  8. With your cursor, highlight and copy the portion of the URL that begins with orgimages and ends with the file type and paste it into a text editing program. Later you will copy it from the text editing program and paste it into a menu.
  9. Click OK to close the Properties menu.
  10. Click Close to close the File Browser menu.
  11. Click Cancel to close the Insert/Edit Image menu.
  12. Undo the checkout and close Edit mode.
  13. In the Header Options menu paste this code into the Advanced CSS field: #PageHeaderBranding {background: url(/orgimages/HCMKB104/InforLogo.png) no-repeat left top;}
  14. Replace the path in parentheses with the path to the image that you copied.
  15. When you have added the CSS, click Save. The Brands Detail menu opens.
  16. Click Update to save changes. Now you can assign the brand to one or more groups.
