Simulation Widget

This widget shows the effects of your pricing decision on occupancy, room revenue, RevPAR and ADR.

Note: The price changes are possible at individual room category level, but the simulation remains at property level.

This widget dynamically displays the performance forecast of the selected pricing decision versus the RMS one.

These cards are displayed on the upper side of the Simulation widget:

  • Occupancy Forecast:

    • The first value represents the occupancy forecast of the selected pricing decision.
    • The second value represents the occupancy forecast variation; the variation between occupancy of the selected pricing decision and occupancy of the RMS Price.

A small arrow is displayed next to the variation. The colors and orientation of the arrow have these meanings:
      • Green upwards arrow: If the occupancy forecast of the selected pricing decision is greater than the occupancy forecast of the RMS Price.
      • Red downwards arrow: If the occupancy forecast of the selected pricing decision is less than the occupancy forecast of the RMS Price.
      • Orange rightwards arrow: If the occupancy forecast of the selected pricing decision equals the occupancy forecast of the RMS Price.
  • Revenue Forecast:

    • The first value represents the revenue amount optimized for the selected pricing decision.
    • The second value represents the revenue forecast variation; the variation between revenue of the selected pricing decision and revenue of the RMS Price.

A small arrow is displayed next to the Variation. The colors and orientation of the arrow have these meanings:
      • Green upwards arrow: If the revenue forecast of the selected pricing decision is greater than the revenue forecast of the RMS Price.
      • Red downwards arrow: If the revenue forecast of the selected pricing decision is less than the revenue forecast of the RMS Price.
      • Orange rightwards arrow: If the revenue forecast of the selected pricing decision equals the revenue forecast of the RMS Price.
  • RevPAR Forecast:

    • The first value represents the RevPAR forecast of the selected pricing decision.
    • The second value represents the RevPAR forecast variation; the variation between RevPAR of the selected pricing decision and RevPAR of the RMS Price.

A small arrow is displayed next to the Variation. The colors and orientation of the arrow have these meanings:
      • Green upwards arrow: If the RevPAR forecast of the selected pricing decision is greater than the RevPAR forecast of the RMS Price.
      • Red downwards arrow: If the RevPAR forecast of the selected pricing decision is less than the RevPAR forecast of the RMS Price.
      • Orange rightwards arrow: If the RevPAR forecast of the selected pricing decision equals the RevPAR forecast of the RMS Price.
  • ADR Forecast:

    • The first value represents the ADR forecast of the selected pricing decision.
    • The second value represents the ADR forecast variation; the variation between ADR of the selected pricing decision and ADR of the RMS Price.

A small arrow is displayed next to the Variation. The colors and orientation of the arrow have these meanings:
      • Green upwards arrow: If the ADR forecast of the selected pricing decision is greater than the ADR forecast of the RMS Price.
      • Red downwards arrow: If the ADR forecast of the selected pricing decision is less than the ADR forecast of the RMS Price.
      • Orange rightwards arrow: If the ADR forecast of the selected pricing decision equals the ADR forecast of the RMS Price.

The Simulation graph is located under the cards. It displays the constrained forecast in terms of occupancy for the selected date range.

A small graph is located under the Simulation graph that displays the curve shape for all dates, from the current date until D-365.

You can filter on the dates by moving the Left and Right brackets.
Note: When you change the selected date range, the main graph is updated to zoom on the selected dates.
This widget is updated when you specify a price within the optimized price range, using the Price stepper from the Decision widget.
Note: The Simulation widget is not displayed when you specify a price out of the optimized price range.
