Adding Rate Shop to Guest Stay

Use this screen to view and select rate plans options for multiple dates of the guest stay duration. You can also view data such as Total Taxes, Average Nightly Rate and Room Adjustments in the summary section. This functionality is used when the rate availability is controlled by the third party booking agency and reservation is done for multiple dates.
Note: You can reserve the guest stay only if the configured Max Nights for the Rate plan exceeds the total nights of the guest stay.

To use the rate shop for Guest reservation:

  1. Select Front Desk > Guest Stay.
  2. Select an existing guest record on the List View tab. Alternatively, Click New Record if new guest reservation is created.
  3. Select the Rate Plan on the Record View tab. The Rate Shop selection screen is displayed.
  4. Specify this information in the Search Criteria section to view the available rate plan:
    Rate Plan
    The rate plan selected for the guest reservation.
    Promotion
    The promotion offers associated with the rate plan.
    Currency
    The guest currency.
    Convert from Property Currency
    If this checkbox is selected, the guest currency is converted to the property currency.
    Room Type
    The room type selected for the guest reservation.
    Room Type for Charge
    The room type rate that is charged for the guest reservation.
    Room Type Categories
    The category of the room type selected for the guest reservation.
    Include Multi-Rate Options
    If this checkbox is selected, the booking restriction for the rate plans is not considered and the rate plans are included in the search result. You can view the booking restriction reason if you rest the pointer on the rate plan.
    Note: The Closed icon or a Red dot indicates that the Rate is restricted for the guest reservation.
    Sales Strategy
    The sales strategy applicable for the rate plan based on the market segment.
    Shop by Day
    Select this check box to display the rate plans for each day of the stay period. The application displays ‘—’ for the days the rates are not specified. In case the rate amount is not specified, the application displays ‘—'
  5. Click Search. The available rate plans are displayed for multiple dates of the guest stay duration based on the search criteria specified.
    Note: 
    • You can select a rate plan, package, room type for the different dates of the guest stay duration.
    • You can use the Add-On screen to add additional information to the selected rate plan or date. The Add-On icon is enabled when rate plans for all the dates of the guest stay duration are selected. The additional information includes meal plan, change of currency and so on.
    • When rates are retrieved based on the Control Segment and the rate plan is not available for the specified stay, the application displays ‘—’ and it is protected. However, for the available rates you can select multiple rate plans for each day of the stay.
