Creating a non-room bundle

You can use the Non Room Bundles menu to configure one or many non room items for use as meal plans, chargeable specials, or package items.

To create a non room bundle:

  1. Select Rates and Sales > Pricing > Non Room Bundles. The Maintain Non Room Bundles screen is displayed.
  2. In the Add New Bundle section of the screen, specify a Non Room Bundle Code and click Add. A new non room bundle profile record is inserted using the specified code and the Non Room Bundle tab is displayed.
  3. Specify this information:
    Non Room Bundle Name
    Specify the non room bundle name.
    Description
    Specify the description of the non-room bundle.
    Transaction Code
    Specify the transaction code that should be used when the non room bundle is posted to folios.
    Note: You can create a non-room bundle with a transaction code and a revenue type.
    Offset Code
    Specify the offset code for the non room bundle.
    Posting Type
    Specify the posting type for the non room bundle:
    • Pre Date Roll: By default, the posting type is set to pre date roll. The bundle item is posted to the folio before the hotel date is rolled or changed.
    • Post Date Roll: The bundle item is posted to the folio after the hotel date is rolled or changed.
    Minimum Length of Stay Days
    Specify the minimum length of stay in days to use the non room bundle.
    Compatible with all Rate Plans
    Select this checkbox for the non room bundle to be compatible with all rate plans.
    Note: When this checkbox is not selected, the Rate Plan Compatibility tab is accessible.
    Meal Plan
    Select to indicate that the non room bundle is a meal plan.
    Add-On
    Select to indicate that the non room bundle is an add-on.
    Post Bundle Total
    Select to indicate the total for the non room bundle can be posted to the folio.
  4. Click Add Non Room Items. The Available Non Room Items window is displayed.
  5. Select the non room items you wish to add to the bundle, then click Add to Bundle.
  6. Click Edit on the non room item row in the Selected Non Rooms Items section specify:
    Frequency
    The frequency at which the non-room items are posted. The available options are:
    • Each Day
    • Floating
    • Once
    Note: The Offsets Consumption check box on the Non Room Item screen must be selected to enable Floating frequency, Allowance and Visits for the non-room items.
    Beginning With
    Specify the post day of the non room item. Your options are First Day, or Second Day.
    Pricing Control
    Specify the pricing control for the non room item. Your options can include: Per Adult, Per Child, Per Person, or Per Room. Only options that are set to active in Global Codes for the Non-Room Item Pricing Control will show in the drop-down menu.
  7. Cick Save.
  8. Select the Rate Plan Compatibilty tab to make the non room bundle compatible with specific rate plans.
  9. Select the rate plans to make the non room bundle compatible with, then click Save.. The non room bundle is saved.
