Splitting rates for shares

Split rates for shares to distribute the rate charges to the guests sharing the room based on specified share percentages.

To split rates for guest stay shares:

In the Share With Details section of a share, click Rate Split. The Rate Split screen is displayed.
Specify this information:

Rate Split Method

Select the rate split method. Your options are Even Split or Custom Split. Even Split is selected by default, and will evenly divide the cost of the room and rate between the guests displayed in the Split Details. Custom Split enables you to enter a custom share percentage for each guest displayed in the Split Details.

Share Percentage

Enter the percentage of the share for which each of the guests is responsible.
Click Save. The guest stay record is updated.

Note: In some cases, a confirmation message is displayed in the message bar clarifying an aspect of the guest stay share asking you whether to continue. Click Yes to continue with the operation and close the message bar, or click No to cancel the operation.
