Searching for available rooms

You can use the Room Availability page to view the number of rooms that are available on the given dates. By default, the availability information for all the rooms is displayed. You can search the rooms based on the room type and other criteria such as room attributes, accessibility.

When you hover the mouse over a cell in the grid, information such as guest reference ID, guest name, check-in and check-out dates, is displayed. If a room is set to the Manual Room Hold status, the room hold details are displayed.

When you hover the mouse on the room number, you can review the room properties. When an attendant selects “Cleaning Started”, you can also view the Attendant icon and the Cleaning start time

Important legends

  • Indirect: If the components of a suite are reserved, the suite is marked as Indirect. If the suite is reserved, the suite components are marked as Indirect.
  • Do Not Move: The room that is reserved for a specific guest must not be changed.
  • Pre-registered: A guest who has not checked-in yet.

To search the room availability:

  1. Select Front Desk > Availability > Room Availability.
  2. In the Search Criteria section, specify the information that you require. See additional details about these fields.
    Start Date
    The date starting from which the room and availability information must be displayed.
    Room Type
    The room type code based on which the room availability information must be displayed.
    Room
    The room code based on which the room availability information must be displayed.
    Room Attributes
    Specify the room attributes. The list of rooms that have the specified attributes, is displayed.
    Accessible
    Select the check box to view the rooms that are accessible to handicapped guests.
    Vacant Rooms Only
    If this checkbox is selected, the vacant rooms that are displayed based on the start date.
    Clean Rooms Only
    If this checkbox is selected, the clean room status is displayed based on the start date.
    Building
    The building code assigned to the room based on which the report only includes the rooms that are matched.
    Wing
    The wing code configured to the room based on which the report only includes the rooms that are matched.
    Floor
    The floor code assigned to the room based on which the report only includes the rooms that are matched.
    Exposure
    Specify the view/exposure that a guest can see from the room. Exposure includes sea view, swimming pool view, tennis court view and so on.
  3. Click Search to view the availability information for the rooms based on the search criteria that you specified. This screen applies the VVIP functionality.
    Note: The room type must be in inventory for the guest stay duration.
